![]() ![]() I was able to resolve these problems by changing the way I streamed with Open Broadcast Studio (OBS). The first few streams had a large amount of framerate stuttering, audio and video synchronization issues, and computers sounding like airplane jet engines. I stream a few times per month on Twitch using The Polyglot Developer. The reality is that there’s a little more to it, more so around stream quality and performance. Streaming is so popular that you might think it’s as easy as opening your web camera and clicking stream. When I say streaming, I mean live streaming, not publishing pre-recorded videos to be watched on-demand. ![]() □♂️Question: How could we replace the Apple Tv in this workflow to have a stable and reliable way to cast the Mac B desktop into OBS (Mac A).So you’ve decided that you want to start streaming content to Twitch, YouTube, or similar. First because it relies on wifi and also because it starts to bug more and more. ⚠️ Problem : Right now the main issue is the reliability of the Apple TV as a way to capture the Mac B screen/desktop while the guest speaker presents a keynote. And then we can play nicely between cameras and keynote the way we want. This way Mac A is able to bring Mac B screen into OBS. we use an Apple TV *yes - an Apple TV* connected to Mac A through HDMI so that Mac B mirrors it's screen on the Apple TV. We use cameras around to record the guest speaker under several angles. on a Mac ( let's call it Mac "A")Ī guest speaker that is setup on another Mac (let's call this one Mac "B") a little further in the room and that uses a keynote presentation on this mac to present its lecture. One person handling the OBS workflow, changing scenes, etc. We are doing live events on a regular basis and we have the following setup : ![]() So after days/weeks and months of great times with our current setup we have to open ourselves up to the OBS community and hope someone, somewhere has a genius idea to helps us out :) ![]()
